Harry Potter and the spoiler that never was – probably

on July 2, 2007

Thought I’d post this for anyone who was worried about the “Gabriel” spoiler thing (I’d have posted it straight in your comments Essie but I didn’t want to read them by accident! So maybe this is a different spoiler thing entirely…)

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2007/06/20/harry_potter_transcript_hack_boast/ (don’t worry no spoilers in article).
If the Reg was suspicious of it, (and still is this month in a more recent article about something else that mentions it in passing) then it’s probably bogus. Anything as entertaining as them couldn’t be wrong. 🙂 But also Daniel says why would Bloomsbury keep the HP manuscript on a computer that connected to the Net where it could (maybe perhaps) be hacked anyway? It doesn’t need to be emailed or anything. So hopefully we don’t need to worry. 🙂

If commenting, please don’t write anything about what Gabriel actually claims – I have avoided reading anything specific about it so far!
