On being ill

on June 28, 2009

Oh the joys of the weekend. Not. I guess this is the same for all of you, that your significant other always picks the weekend to get sick?

Well mine was throwing up every hour on the hour from about 6 last night to one this morning. You know how it is, you keep thinking this is the last one, it’s gonna get better now, he’s going to sleep it off… but no… fortunately we did have adult meds in. In fact the only person we haven’t got meds for is Nutmeg so I really hope she doesn’t catch it. Yours truly is in better condition but not brill either. Froglet seems fine so far. He did complain of some pain but I think it may have been a result of seeing Daddy so poorly!

So, no church for us today. And no work for the Engineer tomorrow. Did you know you’re not supposed to return to work/school for 48 hours after vomiting (if it’s a bug)? I only just found that out. Shame SAHMs can’t benefit from this rule eh!

In other, happier news, it’s a beautiful day out there which means I’ll be able to put Froglet on the balcony with the baby bath full of water – he still just about fits in – and let him use it as a paddling pool while I read or something. We never use the baby bath to bathe Nutmeg! She likes being on her little seat in the big bath with whoever happens to be around (supervised of course).

Speaking of balconies, does anyone have any tips on redoing the cracks between the bricks on the ground? Ours are completely empty -when they’re not full of weeds, sand and mud, that is.

Oh dear – i pray he gets better.
Have u tried going to the Obi or Bau&Hobby & asking? They are very helpful – just need the words brick, fill-in & cracks. i'm sure they will have some pre-mix which u can just squeeze into the cracks.
